This last week was an exciting week for our Frag Doll team. With so many good Ubisoft betas for us to play, we have found ourselves back on the market for some competitive team gameplay. We would love to invite you to take part in our practices by watching our weekly streams on our Twitch.tv page.
We also got our hands on some very helpful information from our developer team in Singapore, who are hard at work on Ghost Recon Online. The beta is now open 24hrs a day and we would love for you try this beta out. Just click here for more information. Below is the highlight video from our Twitch Dolls and Devs event if you missed it. We sat down and played with Chip Go, interviewed game designer Jesse Knapp and had an open Q&A with the community.

This last week was also the launch of the Ghost Recon Future Soldier beta. As a team we will be streaming our practicing from 5-7pm PST on Thursdays and 6-8pm PST on Sundays from our Twitch page. I am a collector of all things strange, exciting and well …odd. I like to keep everything that is ever given to me and sometimes I might only touch it once and throw it into storage. If I love it I will use it daily depending on what that product is. I like trying new things out, good or bad, and giving the product a real shot at impressing me. I came across a very funny video and at the end of watching it I was like “WTF”? (Watch the video below to get the same reaction I did.) After reaching out to the company and seeing if I could get my little hands on one, I was quit excited to see one show up on my door step a week later to review. After opening up my brand new Grey fleece Ponchillow I needed to put it to good work and see what I really thought.
When I first put it on I laughed and looked in the mirror. I thought to myself “Ok this might work”. Also living in Souther California, ponchos might not be such an un-average item. I didn’t use it the first week I got it, but then I had to go on a long drive to the airport to drop off friends and I thought what the hell no one would see me in it. The first thing I did was grabbed the pillow attached to the hood and laid down. To my surprise I was so comfortable and warm. I fell asleep like a baby and woke up with no awkward car ride pains.
The next time by Ponchillow came in handy was when I was playing games on the floor. I was freezing and it was lying right on the ground staring me in the face. I put that sucker on, sat against my couch and played all night.
I know at first it may come off as silly or a bit odd, but not only does my new Ponchillow keep me warm, it supports my neck when playing games and makes long gaming sessions more enjoyable. I wish I could take the pillow off when needed just so I didn’t feel weird if I wanted to wear it just out and about. Next mission is to wear it to the movie theaters and watch my movie in comfort.
And just so you know PONCHILLOW dominates the Snuggie. Just the fabric alone is 10x better. I give this product an A+ rating in purpose and an A- in style.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier has been a very much-anticipated game for 2012. Our team has been waiting for this 3rd person shooter title for a while so we can show off our skills as a leading female team once again. Anyone who has been waiting with eagerness, like me, will be pleased to know GRFS will be out on XBOX and PS3 May 22nd and the beta will be launching some time in April. Watch the all-new gameplay trailer at the link below. This video is the first gameplay trailer and is focused primarily on single-player content. This video is just launching today so I want to make sure you get your VIP access to view it.

Being such a huge shooter fan myself, I was excited to hear the Creative Director of GRFS Multiplayer, Tommy Jacob, say “The three major ingredients for MP are: Combat, unique Intel (great way to play a support role) and team work”.
The Future Soldier multiplayer mode puts two equal factions against each other- Ghosts vs. Bodark. You will have the option to choose your class and play as a Rifleman, Scout or Engineer. The Rifleman is your run and gun type player equipped with assault riffles and light machine guns. The Scout is for your stealthy player who loves to snipe and is equipped with sub machine guns. The Engineer is equipped with shotguns, personal defense rifles and equipment such as drones.
One of my favorite parts about the multiplayer is the “Confidence System”. Lone wolf attitude will not work in this game. Playing as a lone wolf can take you up to 20 seconds to interact with an objective, but if you have your teammates around you your interaction times can be cut into half.
Another great feature is the “augmented reality”. If you are someone who has a hard time memorizing maps, have no fear. Augmented reality has pushed the envelope to helping you and your team advance to the next objectives. Virtual paths are created to help you navigate quickly to your objectives or other teammates.
Along with campaign and multiplayer GRFS introduces a new and awesome experience with “Gunsmith”. Gunsmith is a feature supported by Kinect which gamers may examine and customize their weapon. Customizations included new optics, paint schemes, rifle stocks, and gas systems. Gunsmith will also feature configuration changes via voice commands.
So far we will see four different object multiplayer game modes shipped with a total of ten MP maps.

So if you’re living under a rock and have not heard Blizzard has canceled BlizzCon 2012. Crazy to think that a 20 thousand something attendee convention is now just being skipped for a year. The news about BlizzCon was revealed yesterday in an announcement about the 2012 Battle.net World Championship. The eSports event, featuring World of Warcraft Arena and StarCraft II tournaments that will be held in Asia in late 2012.
Blizzard stated: “We’re excited to be showcasing Blizzard eSports on a truly global stage this year. We’re also heavily focused on getting Diablo III, [World of Warcraft expansion] Mists of Pandaria, and [Starcraft II expansion] Heart of the Swarm into players’ hands as soon as possible. In light of our jam-packed schedule, we’ve decided to hold the next BlizzCon in 2013.”
With this announcement, I wonder how many Blizzard fans cried yesterday? This event was the one event created for all things Starcraft, Diablo, and Warcraft related. Blizzard fans are extremist. Kind of wonder if this was the right call? I know Blizzard is super busy making expansion packs, working on new projects such as a strategy game called Blizzard DOTA and a new MMO codenamed “Titan”, but do the fans really except that as an excuse?
Only thing worse then this is if Diablo III is held off too. If it doesn’t launch on time there will be a ton of double pissed Blizzard fans.
PS. Blizzard please give us a date already!
For now everyone will just have to wait and ponder about Blizzcon 2013. I want to know what you think about this decision. Leave a comment below and speak your mind.
