From Mice to Men: a Battle of the Dolls update
Apr 05, 1:40 pm

Battle of the Dolls is now in its second week, the teams are chosen and the training and battles must soon begin. However I was playing Ghost Recon the other day and I realised that it’s not all about the war. As bullets sliced through the air and the sound of choppers filled my ears I saw a man running into the mist of the fire. He was a brave solider off to heal a wounded squad member. As he ran I could see that it was not about the cool guns, the drones, the uber fire power, the excellent maps… no it was all about the love.

First I want to extend the love to all those who tried out for Team Sarin, well played games were had by all and you made my decisions rather hard to make. I would also like to send particular thanks to the clans 49commando, NBK, and FLUK who so kindly handed over their finest to me for the grand tournament.

Secondly I thought I might just introduce Team Sarin to you all. We have already done a little bonding between our selves and I thought it might be nice to share who we really are with the world…. I give you the love behind the gamer tag:

Anto Nick: A swathy Irish man from a small but pleasant coastal village. When playing GR:AW Anto likes to take long strolls on the beach and pick dusty flowers from the Mexican road side.

BSLSimes: The gentle giant of the team, Simes may look fierce but we all know that he carries a heart of gold behind that armoured vest.

Dark Fury99: An angry name but a sweet individual. Dark comes from a close knit community of gamers to join Team Sarin, and I feel with his ‘songs round the camp fire’ attitude we can’t help but have a good time.

Geofortean: a secret lover of myspace, this young man is going to be making some space in the game for us to all have a nice cup of tea and a biscuit. Why make war when you can have a cup of tea?

Kris doe: Another Irish applicant to add to the ranks. Kris likes to hang out in the Mexican markets selling ‘cockles and mussels a live a live oh’.

NBK Sir ZooYorK: Well I have to say I know the least about this applicant. He is a quiet man much preferring to spend his time taking in the atmosphere of the many quaint Fishing Villages and Wharfs we have visited.

Shaolin Monkeh: A man who needs no introduction on the kindness front. Monkeh spends his days rescuing small kittens from trees and helping ducklings across the road.

Yaster: The Scottish interjection to the team, also the super secret sub! Yaster is skilled in making documentaries about serious war events, showing the personalities behind the gun.

However I have a strong feeling that the other Fragdolls have missed the subtleties of Advanced Warfighter and gone for power tactics and mean killers. Now this might be a bit of a problem for my rosy skinned troops so I have decided to toughen them up Sarin style! Daily beatings, a diet of only dirt and water, and fake letters from the other Dolls announcing that their mothers smell and their hair cuts make them look silly, is turning these mild natured men into war machines. I have seen them pin up pictures of the other dolls heads and throw darts at them. Simes has taken to chanting ‘die dolls die’ under his breath, Sir ZooYorK just sits in a corner rocking and holding a grenade, and Kris Doe has a perpetual manic smile on his face.

Team Sarin is now ready to prepare for the Battle. Lock and Load Boys!
