My Language Coach Developer Interview [Audio]
Mar 10, 9:41 pm

Tony Van, Rico Lujan, and Mike McCann may not be names you use every day but they are a group of men with a mission. They share a passion that I am still trying my best to embrace and really want to be good at!

So who are they? Well, they all work for Ubisoft and Sensory Sweep Software, and developed the Language Coach games now available on the DS. They believe that learning should be fun, and that in this day and age you should be able to pick up a game at the airport, and by the time you reach your destination be able to ask those simplest of questions that are just so important.

I spoke to Tony Van last year when he was working on the CSI game and he seemed a very pleasant chap, so I put my fear of strangers aside, set up my Skype recorder and give him a call. He was of course more then happy to chat to me about My French Coach and My Spanish Coach, giving me an insight to their creation and context.  When I am clambering through the South American rain forests conversing with the locals about the beauty of the world I will have Tony and his team to thank. Cheers guys!
