... And once again I am free. It wasn’t easy, and it wasn’t quick, but I have battled my way to victory and the picnic is still fresh enough to save. Sure it has been nibbled by a few sheep, and my friends are no where to be seen - but who cares? I am the winner.
No, I haven’t gone crazy again, although the recent forum time warps may be creating that feeling. I have in fact just completed Rayman Raving Rabbids, one plunger at a time.
When I heard Rayman was going to be a party game I was a little disappointed. I like platformers, and as a gaming genre they make me very happy. However I do not particularly find favour with all party games. So it was with some apprehension that I launched into Rayman. Almost instantly it got me laughing and then quickly turned me into a manic-focused wreck. It is not easy to be incredibly frustrated at a game and still keep your hand still enough to stop a ball rolling into a hole, or to avoid that stupid bunny in the flippers…
I hit bunnies. I squirted them with carrot juice. I danced, I pulled worms from teeth, and I made the choir sing better. I flew through hoops, and I even collected all the pigs around the island. I also won at hog racing, and discovered that I have a pretty mean aim with a plunger. I actually loved this game so much that I stood in front of the TV screen and danced through the entirety of the credits. My friends thought I was controlling the dancing bunnies on screen by doing this, but I wasn’t.
You can get away with any amount of craziness so long as you’re holding a Wii remote.
