Runaway: The Dream of The Turtle
Feb 22, 1:40 pm

I really do rather like free things. I like it when I go shopping and someone hands me a free cookie sample (with extra chocolate). I like it when I get off the train and someone hands me a paper, and I like it when I get to try a new point and click that’s coming out next month.

So since I had the joy of playing the Runaway demo, and I thought it might be nice of me to let you all have a go too. Now this is against my better nature. I may like free stuff but I do not like sharing. You do not get far in the world by sharing good things, however I am having a personality lapse today so you may as well make the most of it.

Here’s the download link!

You may notice that this game has a silly name. I know I did. ‘The Dream of the Turtle’? What is that supposed to be all about? I hear the prequel to this game was rather hard to come by over here in the UK. Maybe if I had played it, it would make more sense. But since getting my hands on the demo I don’t really care what it’s called. There is a guy in a bear suit, and quite frankly that is all I need to enjoy a point and click.

Randomness, or at the very least seeming-randomness, should be the essence of many more games. You can’t beat a little bit of staring at your computer screen wondering why “God damn it man, why are you wearing a bear suit?” is not one of the available chat options.

Just in case you are not completely convinced to take me up on this moment of generosity, here’s a screen of your character looking bored in a big screen full of stuff to run your cursor over. It’s bliss I tells ya.
