Who’s my favourite Fragdoll?
Nov 13, 3:58 pm

Well it was discussed so often when we first turned up, I thought I’d get my say in. I had to rule out the American dolls due to the fact that I know the British ones so well, and I also had to rule out myself. So then there were four.

An easy choice now you may think but it is not. The favoured doll, in my humble opinion, would have to fit into certain criteria. I based these criteria on the things that Fragdolls stood for, so here is my list:

  1. friendly
  2. Must appeal to women
  3. Good gaming knowledge
  4. Good gaming ability
  5. Not too geeky, as this can make people difficult for new gamers to relate to
  6. Interesting, gives good interviews and fun online banter
So under my rules how did the girls pan out ... compared to me! (This is not to say that I think I am the best, but just that I am a Fragdoll and not in the running, therefore free to be a comparison)
  1. Friendly: Well girls I’m sorry to say that I think I am as friendly as any of you… except maybe Lucky who could talk to a dead rabbit for hours if the situation called for it. 1 point to Lucky.
  2. Must appeal to women: I’m not going to use me as a basis for this one but my mum unknowingly cast the vote the other day. She phoned up to tell me that she had seen all the new photos from the Kong event… and didn’t Jam look so approachable and friendly! She also loved the hair, and the skirt. So as decided by Sarins’ mum ... 1 point to Jam.
  3. Good gaming knowledge: Well I think I have quite a good gaming knowledge, but then when Pippa Funnel was dragged up in conversation I didn’t have a clue what was going on! It was Lucky who came to her own here, as she does regularly. I think this section might have to go to Kitt, as any game I mention she always has a comment on. Jam does have the retro knowledge, Voodoo knows her war games, and Lucky mocks me with her Pro Evo chit chat… but Kitt has to be the winner, even if some of the things she says I’m sure are lies! 1 point to Kitt.
  4. Good gaming ability: I think people might just kill me if I don’t give this point to Voodoo, so I won’t argue. She does indeed own on Far Cry so that’s good enough for me. 1 point to Voodoo.
  5. Not too geeky: A tough section as I know that I can bend some peoples ears about gaming and then just move straight on to science.. or worse still Terry Pratchet! So I think compared to me you may all be winners on this round, except Jam! Yes as the only person to ask me to get a t-virus on my first day in the lab, you loose Jam, 1 point to the rest.
  6. Interesting: Well were all interesting surely?? I don’t know how to assign points on this one so I’m not going to.
So how are we doing:

Lucky - 2
Kitt - 2
Voodoo - 2
Jam - 1

Well now I just feel bad! And I’m sure a lot of people have read this and thought ‘but Jams great, that’s just not fair’. But it is not the point that Jam only got one point and the others 2, because my favourite Doll has not been decided, and that was supposed to be the outcome of this exercise. So in order to choose I am going to throw a dart at a picture of the fragdolls and let fate decide.

Or maybe not since the only pictures I have are on my PC! Well until someone sends me a proper photo there is no winner. Except of course Ubisoft who know that we are supposed to be a team and of course all have our strengths and weakness that work well together, and cover all the aspects needed.

So I won’t bother to single out a favourite, because if one were to go and be ‘Queen of the Dolls’ then we just wouldn’t work any more.

You want one Fragdoll… tough, you get them all!
